  1. They vary considerably, from a few thousand to well over a hundred thousand dollars. Used ones can be had relatively cheaply, but require careful inspection of all the systems to see what repairs may be needed. You will need to worry about utilities: does your proposed site have electricity, gas, water, sewerage, telephone service?

  2. It depends on what you want in it. My brother paid 40,000+ dollars for his mobile home, and than the building code where he moved it to required him to put in on blocks. Which cost extra. I was looking at some mobiles and you can pay as much almost as having it built.

  3. I couldn’t tell you how much a new one costs.. but if i were you and you can afford it build… or do a pre-fab home.
my mobile home (a 1971) is expensive to heat and harder to maintain.

It depends on where you live. Some counties won’t allow mobile homes outside of mobile home park sites. You had better check with your county to see. You can buy old one’s very cheap, they will need fixing though. If you want new, they can cost anywhere from $25,000 on up, depending on the size you want. There are 2 bedroom 1 bath one’s that aren’t very high to double wides that can really cost you some major cash. I believe they start at $45,000 now.

  5. depends on where you live and the size you are looking for

  6. I just bought one 2 months ago for $18,000. It is a 2000 with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths. The master bath has a huge oval jetted tub and a separate shower as well as 2 separate vanities. There are tons of storage space and all appliances including washer and dryer were included, as well as an a complete alarm system with window, door, and motion detectors, etc. It looks new and you would never know it is a mobile home from the inside. It took me about 1 month of looking around to find the one I wanted. One of my employees bought one for $2000 and is not in that bad of shape. If you can find a park that is closing down for some reason, they are very very cheap, because they have to be moved and new pad set up. There was one such place when I was looking. It was a very upscale park and the homes worth about 50,000 and up were selling for around 6,000 to 15,000. Since you would have to move it anyway, you might want to be on the lookout for a situation like this.

  7. The mobile home itself will be anywhere from $30,000 to over 100,000. The permanent foundation and utilities may add tens of thousands more, depending on the location.
