  1. Many times there are community programs available which will contribute funds towards teachers and other civil servants home purchases. I know that in Nevada a teacher can purchase a house for 50% of the market value on these programs. of course the are restrictions but all in all it is a good program. Good luck and thank you for choosing to become a teacher.

  2. If you are being recruited to teachin another city or state. That is why it is important to go to job fairs for teachers.

  3. You don’t say where you’re from but in AZ teachers get special loans with really low or no interest. Ask your union.

  4. I’ve heard of teachers getting lower interest loans , but not discounts on homes.

  5. Yes it’s true, it’s called the “teacher next door” program. After all, they want to give incentives to teachers who want to educate the illegal aliens in Texas! ;)
I think you get 50% off of any HUD homes.
    Here you go:http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/reo/g…
And if you need help getting a low monthly payment on your already discounted HUD home, the government is willing to help you teachers as well:http://tinyurl.com/l279z
