I Am Buying A House And I Would Like To Know Its Approx. Value?
I аm buying a house thаt іѕ older, bυt hаѕ bееn recently updated аnԁ I аm hoping tο try tο figure out аbουt whаt thе house іѕ worth tο know іf іtѕ a ɡοοԁ asking price. I've heard thеrе аrе websites whеrе уου рυt іn thе home info аnԁ іt gives уου аn estimate. I really don't want tο pay аn appraiser, I аm јυѕt looking fοr something general аnԁ I heard thеrе аrе websites thаt ԁο thаt. Anyone know?

I like zillow.com and cyberhomes.com
If you are buying this house using a real estate agent, they should supply you with “comps”. Those are comparable properties to the one your’re considering that have sold in the last 3 to 6 months (in or near the same area of town).
That is really the only way to tell for sure. The value of the house is one thing but the location makes an enormous difference in the price. I hope you’re having a professional do a complete inspection, too. Older houses can really have unseen problems.
Good luck!! : )
The most accurate determination of a home’s current market value can only be determined by comparing it to at least 3 other similar properties in the area. Get an appraisal. you can make the close contingent on the appraised value coming in at the asking price. If you want to know what price to offer, ask a realtor.
But here are some websites:
http://www.zillow.com/
http://www.redfin.com/home
Check to see if there is a County website for the area. This will include the appraised value by the County for tax purposes. Hopefully, you will hire a Home Inspector (not one recommended by the Realtor) and make sure the work done was inspected and had permits issued.
It will have yo be appraised and that will give you a price that is ‘in line” with the area.
