55-gallons is good for a pair of Angels. Keep in mind though, that they will need peaceful, slow-moving tank-mates. Also, Angelfish do not fall into the 1″ per fish per gallon rule. They need at least 10 gallons per fish.
Check out these sites for info on fish requirements/compatibility.http://www.peteducation.com/index.cfm?cl…http://www.aquariumlife.net/fishsearch.a…
Make sure you research tank cycling before you even think about getting any fish!!
DEFINITELY!!!
You can probably house 2 angelfish in there as long as they are a pair. I would also recommend to try some of the more peaceful cichlids, such as apistos and german blue ram. I would also get some Cardinal, or Neon tetras if you want a cool effect.
I have a 55 community tank myself and it is full of cichlids(jack dempseys), kribs, sharks, large pleco and 3 pairs of large angelfish, but they have been together from fry, they are now over 2 years old and I have never had a problem. I would keep a close eye on them though for a while to make sure that they are not nipping at each other, they are known to do it!
angelfish would be beautiful. personally, id add 3 angelfish, 15 ADULT cardinal tetras (angels will eat juvenilles) 10 cory catfish, and a dwarf pleco. (make sure its a dwarf, real ones get to be about 2 feet, I know i have an 18 incher)
yes
Angel fish need “tall” tanks. If your tank is the long, horizontal rectangular type, then it isn’t ideal for an angel fish. You need a tall tank for angels to accommodate the long fins of an adult angel.
