Why Can’t Adults Under The Age Of 55 Live In An Adult Community?

Adult communities аrе fοr 55+ Nοt 55-. Whу іѕ thаt nοt age discrimination?? If a couple іѕ married аnԁ one іѕ 58 аnԁ thе οthеr іѕ 51 wουƖԁ thеу bе аbƖе tο bυу іn аn adult community? whу nοt? isn't thаt age discrimination?????

  1. In an instance where one person is above the age and one below, they usually do make exceptions.
    This is not age discrimination because they are looking after the best interest of the adults in that community and they are also deemed as private.

  2. It depends on the terms of the community as to who can live/buy there. In most cases, a married couple can move in as long as one person meets the qualifications.
    It’s not discrimination, as no government funds are involved nor is it an employment decision, its simply an agreed upon restrictions of deed. The communities are trying to maintain a certain atmosphere and activity level.

  3. I would simply call one of the communities that you’re interested in and look into it there. They should be able to answer all of your questions.

  4. I guess they just want to keep the group homogeneous.

  5. I couldn’t buy beer until I was 21. I didn’t think that was fair either.
